Hello, future healthcare professionals:
Nice to meet all of you:) I want to introduce myself, as we start to go through this year's CNA licensing journey together. I am Ms. Soden. I have been a registered nurse for 30-plus years with different nursing experiences, including nurse entrepreneurship, nurse management or leadership, direct care nursing, and regulatory nursing. Currently, I am helping future healthcare professionals attain the basic knowledge and skills in nursing through the Nursing Assistant Program offered by the Deer Valley High School and Deer Valley Unified School District.
I attained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in the Philippines in 1990 at West Visayas State University and came to the US in 1992 to work as a Registered Nurse (RN) in one of the hospitals in the Valley. I am also a graduate of the University of ¼â½ÐÊÓƵapp where I obtained my MBA/Healthcare Management degree in 2005. And, I recently finished my Doctor of Business Administration with an Emphasis in Management degree at Grand Canyon University last April 2023.
I am excited to be on this journey with all of you. And always remember "YOU CAN DO THIS"! This may be a rigorous course, but we will finish strongly if we are open to learning, willing to listen to new ideas, knowledge, and skills, and focusing on graduating successfully in this class, earning college credits, and passing the CNA Licensing Exam.
