I am a California native who relocated when my children and grandchildren all ended up living in Arizona. When the last of them decided to relocate, so did I. Surprisingly (to me) I have grown to love Arizona and its inhabitants! I've had the opportunity to meet a lot of wonderful people, and Arizona and Deer Valley are definitely starting to feel like home to me.  

I have been a teacher at Deer Valley High School since 2019. I am a graduate of Cal State University, Fullerton, with a BA in English. I have been a teacher at the middle and high school levels for over 20 years. My plan is to remain a Skyhawk until I retire!
