    Hola Toros Familias!

I am so humbled and honored to continue my second year serving as Assistant Principal here at Union Park. Words cannot fully express my gratitude and excitement in continuing our time together and growing as a Toro family.

I am a born and raised Arizonan and proud product of Horizon High School. I spent my undergraduate years at The University of Arizona, where I earned my degree in Elementary Education, and I wrapped up my Masters in Educational Leadership through Northern Arizona University in 2018. I began my teaching career at Norterra Canyon as a 7th grade ELA teacher and quickly moved on to help open Sonoran Foothills and its middle school Language Arts department when it was built in 2015. Through my experiences, I have established a philosophy that is completely centered around the mindset that EVERY student deserves and is capable of high-level learning opportunities. I firmly value relationships, trust, respect and a shared culture between all stakeholders to insure that students leave UP with the tools needed to make themselves successful in high school and the years beyond.

My gorgeous wife, Courtney, and I met all the way back in 7th grade, and we have been married for almost 10 years now. We were blessed with our too-smart-for-her-own-good, wonderful, rambunctious, beautiful daughter, Chandler, in May of 2020, and she continues to keep us on our toes daily. In our spare time, we love to support our U of A Wildcats and local sports teams, travel as much as possible, hit the golf links and spoil our 13-year-old black labrador named Callahan. As life seemingly moves by faster each year, we work to value all the time we have together.

I look forward to partnering with all students, parents and community members to provide our young Toros with EVERY opportunity to succeed and excel. Through Teamwork, Ownership over our learning, Respect, Optimizing opportunities and emphasizing Safety, the 2024-2025 school year will be an overwhelming success.

    Your partner in education,
