"To be great is to be misunderstood" Ralph Waldo Emerson
Hello, and welcome to my class! Room E119
To tell you a little bit about myself, this is my seventh year here at Mountain Ridge High School and my tenth year teaching in public education. In previous years I have worked with all grades, but I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with those enrolled in AP Language and Composition as well as ELA 1-2 this year. PLEASE NOTE: If you are enrolled in AP Lang & Comp there IS summer work. You can find this on the MRHS homepage towards the bottom, or by clicking on the following link:
I graduated from Northern Arizona University with my Bachelor's of Science in Education with an emphasis in English and a minor in history, and upon graduation I received Summa Cum Laude Latin honors in addition to Liberal Studies honors. While attending NAU I worked for the university's honors writing and mentoring programs as well as had the opportunity to be an HON101 facilitator.
On a personal note, I am originally from California and enjoy reading, catching up with friends, and spending time with my family. My favorite author is Jane Austen and I can't get enough of cooking and baking shows, even though I don't really cook or bake.
